Alyssa Urban has been teaching social studies at MVU for about 10 years.  She is a 2018 Rowland Fellow, and is using her time and funding to launch the MVUnity project.

She has taught Economics, AP Government, US history, Psychology, Sociology, Debate and Model UN, and this year she is supporting the new course Humanities in Action.

Alyssa grew up in not-too-far-away Jeffersonville, VT, graduated from Lamoille Union and  UVM, for both her Bachelor's and Master's in Education.  She currently lives in Cloverdale (the Westford that is not Westford) with her daughter and husband.  She enjoys far too hobbies to actually engage in them meaningfully, so she mostly uses her non-teaching time to try to get outside, and to be social.
